Patio Project
For this project, the clients wanted an entertaining area in their fenced back yard. An existing porch was removed and a sunken bluestone patio bordered by raised beds was chosen. Access was improved by adding French doors from the house to the patio, and a walkway to the street side gate. A planting plan for the raised beds created multi-season interest with minimal maintenance, while many of the existing perennials were able to be reused or transplanted to other parts of the property.

Front Yard Make-Over
The clients wanted to create a welcoming front yard and entry to their home. The goal was to retain some of the existing, established evergreens while adding some interesting new shrubs and perennials to create all-season interest. The result is a beautiful, low-maintenance landscape that will be pleasing for years to come.

Problem: Wet Area
This project addressed a portion of the yard where water pooled after rain events. A dry “riverbed” was installed, with plantings that will tolerate damp conditions. The area is now a beautiful addition to the landscape.
